As part of an ongoing effort to help with the nursing shortage, VNH has expanded its educational opportunities for new graduate nurses. In collaboration with VNAHSNNE, VNH has been a part of the Nurse Residency program since 2018. In 2020 we had the first applicant to our organization, Kelly Gage.
In June, Kelly finished her residency and a surprise celebration was thrown for her. Kelly stated, “The Nurse Residency Program at VNH has allowed me to start my career in home healthcare with confidence. It has been such a unique opportunity and I feel that I have been given all of the tools needed to succeed.”
With the success of the first resident, VNH will continue expanding the program and welcome six new nurse residency graduates to begin in July.
