Johanna Beliveau, BSN, MBA, RN is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire (VNH). She was appointed by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees and assumed her role in June 2018. Johanna is an experienced healthcare leader with 20 years in nursing practice.
Johanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fitchburg State College, a Master of Business Administration from Rosemont College, and a Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt certificate from the Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College. She is also pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Yale University. A member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, Johanna was selected as a Nurse Director fellow in 2015.
Prior to joining VNH, Johanna was the Director of Quality, Patient Safety and Compliance at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center. She previously was Association Chief Nursing Officer at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Her clinical and leadership experience includes hospice and palliative care, pediatrics, hospice and hospital operations, regulatory readiness, quality improvement and patient safety science. Through her career, Johanna has implemented several strategic initiatives including reducing central line associated blood stream infections, reducing employee turnover, implementing team care behaviors, and safety behaviors for error prevention.
